Why do I see the "Cannot format target Track X" during dumping to an image?

Applies to: RIDE 1.2 and later

It's because the target image does not support all features required to correctly store all source sectors on a particular target track. Here are some situations that will cause this error:

A guaranteed solution to any of these situations is to use an alternative target image that supports the required features (e.g. a *.DSK image). You normally won't see this message when dumping an image back to a floppy.
